Income Opportunities |
We
have multiple opportunities in many locations with Hey Taxi,
Inc. Some require an investment some do not. The three
categories are Owner/ Operators, Independent Contractors and
employees.

Owner/ Operators
|
|
Owner/ Operators own their own
Taxis. Some own multiple taxis which they drive or lease to
independent contractors. Hey Taxi, Inc provides dispatch and
marketing for owner operators. We get the necessary
government permits. Owner/Operators pay a small fee per mile
for the service. There are many advantages to this
arrangement over being totally independent. One being that
you can get assistance from Hey Taxi, Inc and the other
Owner/Operators. You have the benefits of self employment
with the advantages such as advertising and marketing that
can only be efficient from a larger organization. |
Independent Contractors

Independent contractors lease Taxis from the Owner
Operators. They too, are self-employed. The difference is
that they lease the Taxi for a shift rather than owning it.
The independent contractor gets a share of the trips called
in or is free to pick his own fares. The independent
contractor keeps all the fares he or she makes. How much
money one makes is what is left after paying the lease and
any other expenses such as gas or tolls. The advantage to
being an independent contractor is a very low start-up cost
to be in business. |
Employees

Hey Taxi,
Inc hires people for work as employees. Our drivers do not
do normal taxi work but rather drive our “medical taxis”.
These are usually Ford E-250 vans especially equipped to
transport wheelchair and gurneys. We transport patients via
wheelchair and gurney. To qualify you must be at least 25yrs
old, be in good health, have a CA driver’s license with a
clean DMV, speak English, and be current in CPR and 1st
Aid. |
